Freedom had a very tough first five years, and is struggling to overcome it. He is a complete sweetheart, but unsocialized and does not yet know how to fit in. Despite being with two calm chill Kerrys, he has to be coached out of his crate - and then he runs right back in. He likes to be petted through the crate, but doesn’t welcome human touch otherwise. The incredibly patient foster family allows him to progress at his pace, but it is very slow going. He is too scared to focus on toilet or other training.
This is the first time that a Kerry has come to the Foundation and not blossomed after a few months of loving foster care. He is not unhappy, just….wants to be in his crate. Loves food.
